SISTAC - Bringing smart students and social start-ups in Sub-Saharan Africa together
The Bayer Foundation’s Social Impact Start-up Academy (SISTAC) kicked off its “action learning program last week, during a three-day social innovation boot camp. 18 participating master students from Germany got the opportunity to meet with five inspiring and innovative start-ups from Sub-Saharan Africa.

Teaching children, supporting parents in Ivory Coast
The Bayer Foundation donated EUR 200,000 to rehabilitate a primary school in the village of Nzikpli Sessekro, a small community in the middle part of Ivory Coast. Living Goods is a Uganda-based social enterprise with a mission to ensure that every family has the health they need to thrive, not just survive. Living Goods is living up to this mission by fully equipping community health workers with digital tools to provide basic health services.
